Dear Colleagues:
Did you arrive home safely?
It was my great pleasure to meet all of you as a conference chairman of ISORD-8 in last week.
This symposium was attended by 248 participants representing the 8 countries.
Among the participants of this year, especially I was very pleased to welcome those who are from China, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Iran, Austria and IAEA.
We held a total of 18 oral sessions, 8 poster sessions, a Special session of Fukushima Accident, and Invited Talks form China, Japan, IAEA and Korea.
We also completed a satellite meeting on Effects of Low Radiation Dose on last Friday morning.
We completed ISORD-8 successfully thanks to your continuing cooperation.
I wish all of you great success with your research when you are back home. And when you are back, Jeju Island will remind you that you have colleagues all over the world,
As many of you are aware, the ISORD plays an important role in the promotion and development regarding not only Radiation Safety and Detection Technology but also the use of Radiation and Radioisotopes. Furthermore the ISORD is the place for exchanging ideas and research results as well as connecting all the relevant experts and institutes.
May we always part with regret and meet again with pleasure.

Finally I would like to see all of you at ISORD-9 in Nagoya, Japan in 2017.
Thank you.

Dr. Kyo Youn Kim
Conference Chair
ISORD-8
